Morning everyone,
I thought I'd start a Fred here documenting the first part of the eggs movements. Now, before I actually start I'll just say I'm not even yet pregnant so I'll babble on about every wasted egg too! I'm not obsessed but find writing things down easier than telling my already bored with a glazed over look on his face, husband. Im not asking you to reply but it would be fab if anyone would and welcome added input from everyone, whether you're TTC, already pregnant, or interested in reading about someone else's current efforts to get up duffed!
Right, are we all sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin.

A little about me. 30, married for 5 years, been together longer than a decade and came off pill jan 1st in anticipation. Taking folic acid amongst other vits and generally doing my very best to entice the swimmers into signing a 9 month tenency agreement. Husband is also 30 and trying not to get too excited as he knows as soon as he does, I'll be! Then it all goes to pot.

Ok, so as I've said jan 1st came off pill expecting to a)either fall pg straight away or b) take a good few months to really get back into the swing of things. I've been on the pill since I was 15 so was pleasantly surprised I went straight back into a 28 day cycle. Thought it may be a fluke, but no, feb saw the same activity! Then came march!! March bloody madness more like.
This month I'm a baby making looney tune! My body has led me down every emotional pathway, tricking me into thinking I'm pg. 2 tests later, both BFN I now imagine its getting me back for 15 years of no PMS symptoms! I've had them all.
It started with a kiss being so bloated that I resembled aunt petunia after Harry blew her up, working its way to wind that would rival the saharan summer nights, boobs are wonky, massive hard and itchy nips. I've felt the ovaries release, the ( in my imagination) implantation pain which was awful, the spotting, could be cataracts and seeing things, the nausea... Cooking mistakes and the crying at the smallest things, thousand hint OBEM last night was not helpful.
I've got the blue veins showing in the boob and so much CM I feel like I'm on a slip'n'slide (tmi)!
I've even got the stuffy nose and (grasping at straws here) its apparently a pg sign...albeit a small one. Who knew?

So AF is due to visit tomorrow should my 28 day cycle carry on, she's coming for 4 days making herself a general PITA but no pain, no gain eh? So for the next 4 days I'll be a sweaty, crampy, moaning harpie and after that expect OH to fancy me again.

Sorry if you've lost interested or I've killed a thread before even starting, but I'll keep at it and hopefully it'll pick up, turn into something more exciting or provide a place for others to say 'hey that happened to me too'.

See you on t'uther side.

Meema

You've probably described 90% of the ladies on these boards. I've definitely convinced myself I'm pregnant before, I've cried, turned into a hormonal mess, felt sick even before periods due etc etc
I'm happy to report that after 10 months and a progesterone test that said last month I hadn't ovulated I am now 4 weeks pregnant. Grin

Haha, yes I reckon I probably have. Sometimes it's really quite comforting to know that not only your body is being a dickfer, that others are going through it together too!
Congratulations on being pg, I hope you continue to pop by and tell us about how your getting along x

Meema I'll join you! As of tonight (when DP gets home) we will officially be ttc for the first time.

I got impanon taken out today. I haven't had AF the whole time I've had it in so not sure where in my cycle I'm in, but I'm armed with folic acid and going to approach the next few weeks with dedication. Poor DP isn't going to know what's hit him

Hopefully others will join, and lets get those BFP's in April :)

Good morning. So much for a lie in.
Well, today's the day that either the Aunt comes for her bank holiday long weekend visit or the day Egbert decides it wants to stay and make itself known. I've made the room comfy for either visitor. It's got scatter cushions, a roll top bath and endless copies of heat magazine. It's warm, cosy and waiting for it's first lodger. Whichever that will be.
After the shooting pains yesterday I fear flo will be checking in shortly to chez meema. Not to worry I'm a good host with hot water bottles, chocolate and sky movies Disney to hand.
And so we wait...

Hi, can i join please??
we have been actively ttc since?? jan? this year could be feb, memory has disappeared as for all the symptoms that you have mentioned i seem to have had most of them too! oh how our minds play bloody tricks!! but now i have come to the conclussion that the vein on my breasts are normally dark in colour, the bumps on them are normally very bumpy, i blame the wind on the pepsi max that i drink Blush my periods seemed to be 28 days, until i started to count and symptom spot, our fryer generally smells, whether its got clean oil in or not, as does DS1 making an omelette. its not that i have gained a sensitive nose!
so, i have just ordered my first pack of opks off ebay, as ive no idea when i ovulate, no idea how long my LP is, and at least then it should will give me some more info as to what happens each month, and whether we are actually dtd at the right time. and im vowing to myself that i refuse to waste more money on hpt kits! until a reasonable time past af due. oh well, at least in april she will either not turn up, or will turn up at time we go on holiday! so either way, again another vow... i wont be too upset cos the hol will take my mind off her visit.
ps chances are both vows will get broken between now and 8th april when we go

Hi metime. It's awful picking out what is pg or AF related isn't it? Wish bodies had a huge flashing red beacon and a loud klaxon to announce its arrival x

So aside from the painful boobs, the stuffed nose, lower backache, the constant feeling of fullness in my womb area, the cramps, spotting and the feeling that 'something' is different, the test still says no.
I'm getting annoyed with it in all honesty. I would now like aunt flo to move in for a few days, at least with her I know what I'm letting myself in for.
The other test will lie redundant, dormant unused and unloved in the cupboard as I was surprised how sad I was when that magic line did not appear that I don't think I can do that again for a while...(yeah right, few more days where flo is MIA and I'll be at it again).
Not sure if OH is happy or upset about the lack of lineage. He won't tell me whether he wanted it to be a + or - to stop us getting excited, which in turn makes me paranoid, but if he's going to go super silent agent on me I'll just put a bag back on it.
Hurry the fuck up flo, mamas itching to try again.

This did make me smile - like you I was convinced last month that it was only a formality testing for a BFP - but turns out no, I was being a moody & hormonal cow for other reasons!!

So who knows, fingers crossed for this month. It'll be our first proper month of TTC & we haven't started anything serious like using opk's but it may come to that... I'm seeing the doctor in a couple of weeks for a routine appt but will mention it then, see if there's anything we should/ shouldn't be doing!

Good luck to all though :) x

Well now 3 days overdue and not a happy Easter bunny! No rumblings of an incoming arrival and no BFP neither.
I have now resolved to waiting till I'm at least a week late if I can hold out that long!

Ahh day 4 on flo watch. Here we observe the species homo peeeveryhourus! Seriously how much can one person pee when they only consume glassesof juice a day?
Suffice to say nothing is happening. Nada. Zilch. Nowt. Feck all.
My nips are sore and have found that my favorite sleeping position on my front is now a no go. Booo. But on more entertaining news went out for cocktails, couldn't finish my glass of wine, gasp and the rest just tasted wrong. Not entirely sure if it's because I have the pg late thing in my mind but 20 mins later borked it all back up again... And the Easter egg, waste of chocolate that! Oh is currently telling me to use the last test with my fmu but im now firmly (yeah right) sticking to being a week late before testing again.

New to this so forgive if I don't know the lingo.

In exactly the same position as Meemawandmoonpie albeit the Af not quite due till Wed. Feeling pants with campy pain low on right. I'm and old mum-in-waiting (41) so what will be will be. Funny how your mind plays tricks! Trying to hang out testing till definitely late.

Hello everyone! You are describing me this month! Semm to have settled into a roughly 27-29 day cycle, AF was due last Wednesday - so now on CD 34 (longest since having implant removed last August by 3 days) I reckon ov this month was a late one, roughly CD 20/21 so I don't know if I'm just having a stupid, abnormal cycle or if AF is actually late... Anyway, am also watching for her, so reading with interest!

So, guess who rocks up at half 5 this morning, bags in hand with a pitiful look about her? Flo. Turns out she was being thoughtful and letting me be for the Easter bank holiday, which I guess was half decent of her. It also was nice of her to announce her arrival 5 mins before just so I could prepare myself her room for a couple of days. I won't say im disappointed as I really just wanted to know. So now we begin again. CD1, im coming for you.

Sorry to hear the news. I suppose there is nothing to say you weren't , hence the symptoms, just that body decided to go no further. Onwards and upwards.

Meema - that's rubbish - BFN & not even able to enjoy your Easter eggs!! Hope you are feeling a bit better now Flo has finally arrived?

I had a long chat with a friend yesterday who became a first time mum at 38. She really recommended the opk's and taking Pregnacare vitamins so I think I will invest in both. I have some cheapy Wilkos pregnancy vitamins already so may stick with those if they don't make me sick, some vitamins do.

Good luck to all of us this month :) x

Thanks ginger and ruby.
Was a bit miffed this morning, mainly cause she took her sweet time to get here, must have been stuck in traffic or something.
If indeed it started out a positive, then I'm thankful that the little stick said no as I really would have been jumping for joy fear
Tbh I wasn't expecting to get pg on the 2nd go as it was either, something in me fears I will have trouble conceiving but I reckon that's a worry all women have, especially those of us over 30.
Feeling much better apart from the cough that just won't die and crippling cramps so I don't think there's anything for it except hot water bottle and last nights broadchirch and johnathon creek on the old sky box and crap loads of post Easter housework
Keep me entertained with your stories and goings on and hopefully in 4 days I'll be up and at'em, x
