Timing woes

Gah....timing Confused I had a mmc back in December. Totally gutted as it would've been 'perfect' timing.

Now we've waited for hormones, emotions & bodies to settle. & I've been offered a fantastic job opportunity for 6 months' time :s totally rubbish timing - if I took it, I'd sacrifice a hefty whack of statutory maternity pay. Even if I conceived now, it would be a stupidly long time to ask them to wait for me. But to hold off for SMP would mean not even starting trying until 6 months after getting to them (ie a year from now) which feels like forever, especially to poor DH, & would mean a large age gap between my kids.

Timing sucks. Especially as my hormones are frantically telling me every month in my 'fertile period' to make a baby, my emotions are telling me to replace the one we lost. Sucky.

Thanks for listening. Any shared experiences / advice appreciated x

Personally, having a baby is more important to me right now than work, money etc..

I actually have an interview tomorrow for a new position that I'm excited about especially as my current position is really causing me soooo much stress and upset and I've been on the brink of just handing in my notice... So i have fingers and toes crossed for this interview tomorrow!

However, still actively TTC and hoping this is my month!!!!!

If I found out I was pregnant I would work for as long as possible and then take maternity leave...

So... I personally would say, accept the offer but try to conceive as well! Take each day/week/month as it comes!

I got a new job after ttc for over a year and my period started on my first day! Life's a bitch.

I know. It's good advice to just take each day as it comes - trying to work out a 'plan' is really messing my head up and causing stress.

It wouldn't be the end of the world if I got pregnant & had to stay put for now. But I would feel like I'd lost a great opportunity. At the end of the day though I guess jobs & children aren't comparable.
