I think I'm obsessing! Just want a positive!

I am a reasonable person but am far more impatient than I thought...

Mirena coil removed August, 32 days later I got my first period, then 24 days later the next one, then 26 days later the next one.

Today is day 30 and no period. I tested on day 26 and got a negative. I tested last night and got a very very faint line, wasn't even sure if I left it too long. Decided to test this morning as the morning's supposed to be better and got the same result. Nothing at first and then the faintest of faint lines if you look really closely but, as hubby said, maybe it's just my eyes because there is already a line in the C panel. His eyes too as he thought maybe aswell.

I now have no tests thankfully so can relax for a few days. Have ordered some cheap ones and a Clearblue digital. Should arrive Wednesday so I can retest then.

Anyone else in or been in the same boat? Because my cycle isn't really established I don't know if I'm late or not, although at day 30 I would assume so, and with my first pregnancy I tested day 28 and got a very obvious line. That was after pill, pre-coil so anything could've changed!

I would say you have a positive. All of my pregnancies started with the faintest of lines. Perhaps you ovulated a day or two later this month or implantation occurred a day or so later. Only time will tell, I know the feeling of waiting though, every day seems like forever. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply. Once my tests arrive (3-5 days) I shall be testing until they run out! Hopefully the digital will just tell me conclusively!

Feeling more level-headed about it now. Lots of twinges today. Will re-test in a few days. Nothing I can do about it in the meantime and it's difficult to not think about it all the time!

I'm also driving myself mad at the moment (not supposed to be testing till wed) & it is so hard not to think about it all the time, as you say.

Just wanted to say good luck and I really hope you get aa firm positive when you retest

Thank you. You too. I have made a doc's appointment for Friday for something else so hopefully will know by then. How do I then deal with the not lifting things at work without everyone knowing?? I don't have to lift but at this time of year there is a lot of furniture moving, Christmas decs box down, etc. Was hard enough today - git to get through the week yet!

I'd be tempted to invent something,
Low blood pressure/ anaemia or something?
And then say, sorry I'm really anaemic/ have really low blood pressure at the moment, so I can't lift that
I work from home so don't have to find excuses. but find it hard to not spend all day poas

The no lifting advice is nothing to do with the baby as such, just that pregnancy hormones can relax your ligaments ready for the birth, so you could injure yourself more easily. At this early stage it really shouldn't be a concern.

Oh that's useful to know thanks. It's more the being banged if lifting heavy stage blocks or falling off a chair while putting decs up that concerned me yesterday! Today should be easier. Going for a run too so just as normal as possible. On the outside anyway!

Got to say that I too imagine that I can see a faintest of faint second line lol. I hold it up the light , allsorts. I'm sure our eyes play tricks when we want something.....

I'm now on day 32 of cycle with no period yet and lots of twinges. Still determined to wait for my Clearblue digital to arrive to re-test so I have a definite overdue period and hopefully a definite digitally confirmed positive!

I had the exact same thing on Monday; the most feint line on my cheap test to the point I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. I then tried others but didn't get anything. DH went out and got a 2 pack of the Clear Blue Digital ones from Tesco and I did the first yesterday and got the 'pregnant 1-2 weeks' message.

I took the second one today (just in case!) and got the same message but then tried the cheap one and could barely see anything.

Good luck

So how did you get on today? Fingers crossed for you!

Clearblue parcel was waiting for me when I got home. Just tested and positive! Early days but better than a faint line. Feel totally shell-shocked now I have a definite and worried about the next twelve weeks. But all in all very pleased and relieved and want to tell everyone but need to be sensible and patient. Doctors Friday - already had the appointment for something else and in the hope I got a positive!

Will tell work as soon as the need arises.

(Blows out hard and puts hand on head in a 'What just happened?' kind of fashion.)
