WHen to POAS?

How soon after suspected ovulation can you POAS?

I have pcos and don't have periods really, I also rarely ovulate. DD1 is 6 months old and it took 13 months to get pregnant with her and during that time I only ovulated once.

I've been on the pill but I took a break from it on Drs advice after constant light bleeding during the months I was taking it. (The idea was that I'd let my hormones regulate then try with a different pill.)

A week ago last Saturday (so the 17th.) DH and I had sex and had a bit of an accident. Later that day I had a pain in my right ovary and stretchy discharge when I went to the loo. I'm wondering if that was me ovulating.

Since then my boobs have become quite sore and I feel a bit sick and very tired.

I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant. I wouldn't be getting symptoms this soon surely? Plus I don't even know if I ovulated, and I might just be due on a period. I just want to check and make sure.

Am I best to wait a few more days yet?

Yes you could test now as would be 11 days past ovulation. But don't listen much to me as I am only 8 days past ov and just took a test, which clearly was negative!

As creamtea says, you could test now. If you can be strong enough, and can hold on, it probably would be best to wait until the weekend. That would give you a full fortnight since you suspect you ovulated and the result you get should be pretty reliable.

Much easier said than done though. If I was you, and my symptoms carried on getting stronger, I think I'd test sooner.

I can hold out until the weekend. I really don't think it'd be positive anyway :)

Took a test this afternoon which was negative. Still feel sicky though. DH was shocked because he said I'm exactly the same as when I first got pregnant with DD. Must just be a bug x

I feel okay. Just a little bit confused because I really feel exactly the same as when I got pregnant with DD x
