Just Shagging - no science, just sex, sex and more sex! The lazy way to make a baby, part 9 (we think!)

Confused by all the TTC talk? OPKs? Taking your temperature?! Then this is the thread for you! We want babies the good old-fashioned way - through drunken, spontaneous shagging at any time of the month Grin. All you need is a man, Wine, ramekins and a batch of cheapo pregnancy sticks, and you're good to go! (Shag-capes and actual Sex optional)

The group is so successful that you can see the results for yourself in our graduates thread full of mamas who JSed their way to motherhood. Getting a BFP within a few weeks is known as "doing a kitten", and due to the secret and magical powers of the Just Shagging thread, this happens from time to time.

We have our own TTC language - EWCM is now known as "pant snot", AF is now "ERTD" (Evil red tide of DOOM!), OV is ovulation, and of course, JSing is Just Shagging!

Viroids is our name of choice, the reason is long since lost in the annals of time. If you really feel the need to take a test, Gu Ramekins are what all the classy birds are using. And of course, drinking is essential. Sometimes, we even remember to have sex Wink

Old thread is here if you want proof it works!

Oooooh hello, shiny new thread! I feel like I've graduated or something :-) Thanks for setting it up babylann!

Ha, yes, my doc said the moment I fall pregnant they're shipping me off to the geriatric clinic. I said 'You what?!' and she said, 'You know, the granny clinic, because you're over the hill'!! Hmmmm!

Hello! Big wave to new thread and old friends.
I'll plonk some wine on the the table and a sticky chocolate cake Grin

Niceties over I am also hopefully going to be a geriatric!!! 36 at the moment and will turn 37 in July... Didn't meet the right man till 2 years ago and then suddenly for the first time in my life I wanted children to complete the family picture... Fingers crossed very tightly that its not too late...

Hello all. Lovely new thread! Well, I'm now three days late with no BFP. If I was pregnant it would have shown up by now so it's just my body playing tricks on me. I'm feeling really down about it today. DH is trying to be understanding but he doesn't really understand why it's bothering me so much.

Morning morning..... fens I'm liking your style, wine and choccy cake for breakfast - I'll second that!

I'll add myself to the almost geriatric list too, I've had more than one 'friend' point out that I had 'better pull my finger out' as I'm not getting any younger....I'm 32 and only just starting out TTC (not that they know that), so technically they have a point, but still. Rude much?!

Happy Thursday all....I can see the weekend on the horizon! :o

thanks for the wine and choc cake, stuckinthefens, and I like how our paths are v. similar, re age and meeting someone only relatively recently :) i have a pot of coffee on the go if anyone wants one Brew.

sorry about no BFP, vizzini. does it really show up so early? I didn't know that. I haven't got any strips. at the mo (I'm just one third cycle of ttc) I'm just presuming not preggers until some majorly big sign appears. my doc said it could take a year for fertility to return, so i have a bumper stack of tampax at the ready.

cheery waves to all :)

Hey, welcome lookingfoxy!

Hope everyone else is well. Still interested to hear how Nelly and Josie are getting on :)

Tired this morning despite an early night. I had ov pains yesterday, does that mean I was ovulating, or that I had already ovulated? JSed yesterday anyway.

Hello everyone am manically packing for a weekend at the seaside when I pick ds1 up from school tonight. If ERTD doesn't arrive while I'm there I plan to test on Monday. Hope everyone ok?

OK babylann just for you! I'm not really JSing any more, as we are moving into science territory. On cycle 26 now :( though not quite 2 years of TTC. We have been for a couple of appointments now, had dildo-cam and today was the HSG and so far all looks good. However found out that my FSH was 11, which might indicate I don't respond so well to IVF, so have been advised by gynae to go private if I can. Am hoping the HSG might help as it sometimes has a pro-fertility impact, and going to try temping and baby aspirin for a few cycles too. But essentially I just need to make sure we have the money, then get our private clinic appointment booked. I'd like to give it a couple of tries post HSG first though. And we are off on holiday next week so that will be lovely, as it's currently hosing it down here. Summer, huh?

I haven't heard much from josie so might go and check up on her and she how she is doing :) What about frak and val, are they still on the thread? And how are you?

Waves to everyone else. How are the shag capes doing? Though I feel I should admonish some of you, as I was scan reading the last thread and am sure I saw mention of ovulation and cycle tracking and stuff. Just Shag, remember!!! though I'm in awe of just how much shagging the younger bunch of you can manage. I am also pleased to see some of you are nearly as geriatric as me, but not quite Wink.

I am 28 so not too geriatric I hope - although I feel it most days! Grin

Hello ladies, can I join?

JS baby would be DC2 and I am not that bothered about having another, but DH is desperate and I also think I'll come to regret it in the future if we don't give DS a sibling. On that basis we're not trying as such but having unprotected sex randomly and when it happens it happens.

Period due some time at the beginning of June.

Welcome MissMarjoribanks :)

So glad to hear from you again, Nelly. I'm glad it all looks good so far. What is baby aspirin? And yeah, the weather has been completely crap this year. The year I have a big garden I desperately want to make something of, we have a complete absence of "spring"!

I'm not sure if I can completely ignore ovulation! Today, I was having such sharp pains in the left side of my pelvis there was no way I could hide from it Angry I was actually a bit concerned really, of something like ectopic pregnancy. I had my "period" almost two weeks ago though (along with a few BFNs) so I know that's absurd, but I'm a very anxious person! The pain was really that sharp and shocking though, I had to stop what I was doing and sit down until it passed, but it's been coming on and off for the past few days and for the rest of this evening, albeit much milder than the particular moment I mentioned where I had to sit down. In fact, I could almost feel the pain moving, as though I could actually feel the egg moving from ovary to womb!

I might have to make a doctors appointment really, I just get fed up every time I go and they look at me like I'm wasting their time with my irregular periods... I guess now I am getting increasingly painful symptoms around OV and period time they might start taking it more seriously. I think it could be PCOS or something along those lines.
