For our latest comp, we've teamed up with That?s Good to offer you the chance to turn your favourite photograph into a beautiful canvas print. There are three medium sized canvas prints up for grabs (each one is worth £69 ). For details on how to enter, click here .

boo hiss .. unfair entry .. and a good prize that I'd love to win

We don't do holidays really (due to budget and health constraints) so I couldn't recommend a winter, skiing or camping trip with or without healthcare, and I've already been burned on people I know in RL being on here

can you open up the entry routes at all .. not that I've a cat in hell's chance of winning, never won nuffink in my life, dead unlucky

I agree, Twiglett - I've been unable to enter a number of the comps for similar reasons and I'd prefer it if the comps were open to entry in other ways too.

They've added a 'recommend a friend to join mumsnet' bit too!

We haven't been on holiday for years, partly for financial reasons and partly due to all things autistic. My close friends IRL are all childless and I'm a bit wary of pointing others in the direction of MN.

I'm very wary of pointing others in the direction of Mumsnet - I'm not sure I'd want my RL friends knowing who I was here, and I'm not sure they'd appreciate me introducing them just so I could enter a competition!

The competitions are so often based on things like holidays, and products that I haven't used for 3 years ... I just think it might be nice if entry could be made a bit more inclusive.

I agree. It's one of the reasons I liked the caption competition so much, it didn't rely on purchasing criteria or recommendations. Where did that go ???

I already said why I was uncomfortable with 'recommend a friend' though lunavix

lololol twiglet I am indeed here was working through the competition threads, wasnt when you posted this tho, sorry!!
I don't do the entry requirements so can't comment but will let Justine, Rachel and Carrie know there are some concerns.
The caption competition was with Bags of Love but that was for a limited time, it has now been replaced with Chef On Board.

Hi all

we always make sure there's something we feel most people can do in this case recommending a friend, but will take on board your concerns about doing that and make sure we always have something else eg send a tip, recommend a day out - would these be acceptable? The reason we ask for reviews is that it's a great way to incentivise those who would otherwise not get round to completing a review form. Sorry you felt aggrieved and promise to try harder.
