Experian competition - question for MNHQ about data protection t&c

MNHQ, I'm a bit confused about the terms and conditions in small print on the Experian competition page. These state 'The Promoter would like to retain entrants? personal data after the expiry of this competition so that it may market and promote its products and services to you. If you would like to receive this information please indicate this preference on the Official Entry Form.'

I didn't notice any option to either opt in or out of Experian retaining personal data. I hope I didn't miss this. Please can you assure us that standard MN rules apply to this, i.e. you will not pass on email addresses without permission.

Sorry to be paranoid but Experian are rather fond of the bulk mail approach.
