Sorry for lack of reply but thank you belgianbun. Its been a mad 48 hours.
Hsd already rung NHS to no avail, they told me to go to a&E...
But nice pharmacist was much more helpful and if anyone wants to know, you should continue to give prescription medication as if some stays in its better than none.

why is he on omeprazole and ranitidine, they do the same thing, one is a PPI and the other is an H2 antagonist but they create the same end result. I personally would be concerned about the constant suppression of stomach acid as this can cause other problems of fungal infections in the gut due to lowering the pH.

Has he got motility problems ..is that what they are using the domperidone for

how long has he had reflux for?

alypaly you sound like an expert and possibly my new friend!
He has had reflux since he was 3 mo, of the silent form.
Been at specialist this morning and he has doubles the omep and said cut out the dom peridone. Also to stop the night feed.
Motility? Do you mean as in constipation? He poos have always been very solid and was very consticpated when he started on neocate but does ok now with the aid of lots of fruit and pear juice.

sorry i dint get back to you,my computer died, the hard drive has broken totally so i am borrowing a friends lap top til i can afford another one...

domperidone is used for motility problems or paediatric reflux.

motility is the passage of food from the stomach through to the intestines and onwards.
some people have slow motility(movement of food) others have a fast movement (or diaorrhea)
Are his ppos like rabbit droppings or are they normal shape but just hard,or are they pelleted.
Has he been xrayed to see if he is impacted.

Does he strain when he poos?

Always strains when he poos, eve if runny. Usually they are like rabbit poos but he is on the back of a bug at the moment.
No x ray. Is it something I can push for?
What are your views on night feeding? He still wakes for milk at least once. Specialist said to drop it through reducing or cc but someone else told me that it neutralises the acid so to keep doing it.
