Hello! Our DD has had ongoing symptomatic ear infections for approximately 6-7 months+. She has received three courses of antibiotics (amoxycillin, cefprozil) and, whilst each course seems to help and temporarily alleviate symptoms, the infection just bounces back.
a. have you had similar experiences and how was it handled?
b. we are not too eager about having grommets put in (my uncle lost his hearing after this sort of operation), has anybody had any luck with long courses of antibiotics?
c. any other approaches taken with children and recurring ear infections?
I appreciate any stories/advice.
