Slip in bath

My dh has just giving our 12 week old a bath and, because she did an enormous poo which went everywhere, he used bubble bath(Boots baby) for the first time. The idiot put her on her front and she slipped and went under - got a bit of the water in her mouth and eyes plus lots of foam. Think her eyes are ok - he quickly rinsed them with water but should I be worried about her swallowing any? She seems to be ok. Dh thinks it was hilarious - I think he's a tool

She should be fine, these soaps are designed for babies and I would expect them to be very mild...hope she's ok

Nice. Are you a tool when you make a mistake, or is that allowed? Or do you think he did it on purpose?

Your DD will be fine, she could probably drink it neat without any problems.

No bruxeur - I don't think he did it on purpose but I do think someone's a tool if they don't use the sense they were born with (we have a deep bath and it's difficult enough to hold her up on her back let alone her front). And anyway I called him a tool for laughing rather than making a mistake - which I didn't think was 'nice' or appropriate when she was very distressed and I was worried. But thanks for snapping at me - I really need it at the mo. Thanks to everyone for the advice.

have you got one of those bath sponges thatthe baby lies on from mothercare[mine was like a frog i think] and just a few inches of water so the baby is not covered?
very much easier than holding slippy babies in water!

Thank's nottoworry I may get one - we inherited a nice victorian bath when we bought the house but it's so deep dh has to do bathtime as my back won't stand it anymore. Dh was only a temporary tool - I just needed to vent
