High blood pressure in 3-month old probably due to kidney dilatation

My three-month old DD was diagnosed with a dilated renal pelvis in the womb and had a scan at a week old, which showed that the dilatation was still there. She has been taking trimethoprim (antibiotics) since birth. In early December we saw a paediatrician in the baby clinic at the local hospital who told us he would speak to his consultant about further tests to determine if she was suffering from reflux based on the scan results. Her blood pressure was also taken but the reading was not discussed with us. We then received a letter from the paediatrician in late January (after much chasing) saying that there was no need to refer her to a consultant at the present time, that a further scan had been booked for 25 February and we would be given another outpatient's appointment to discuss the results. The last paragraph of the letter asked us to arrange to have her blood pressure monitored in the day care unit as the reading at the previous appointment had been high, although DD was unsettled at the time.
We attended the day care unit yesterday and blood pressure readings over the course of 5 hours were all high, ranging from 89-113, which is very high for a baby from what I've been reading on the internet. DD was settled for all of them, either feeding or sleeping. The paediatrician in the unit decided to take a blood sample and then sent us home because he said the results would take at least 2 hours to come back (it was 3pm at that point), that he would be contacting Great Ormond Street Hospital to seek their advice and that we would be contacted on Monday. He did reassure us that it wasn't urgent but that she would need to be put on medication. He implied that the high blood pressure was due to her kidney condition.
I just wondered if anybody had experience of these conditions - what drugs were prescribed to reduce the blood pressure and what tests your DC had to undergo either for high blood pressure or for kidney problems. And also what the outcome was. I'm trying not to worry but it's hard, especially when doctors start mentioning contacting GOSH! I just want to be armed with as much information as possible when we next speak to the doctors. Before yesterday I hadn't even realised that high blood pressure could be linked to the kidney dilatation for example. DD is very well in herself, has plenty of wet nappies and is on the 91st centile for height and weight so is obviously thriving.
Many thanks for your help.
