ds 26 months has had this about 3 times now - night before his christening when had steroids at a and e and once in middle of night in middle of forest on hols which we wentto a and e for and got no steroids and now 3 rd time this am woke at 5 coughing in croupe bark way and crying - we bought him in ours and he settled on and off. he is asleep now for his afty nap and seems fine since he got up - has started with a snotyy nose and a normal cough... what can i do to stop it repeating tonight if anything? I hoped we were gettign over the being ill thing all the time stage! yes i am tired !

We had the same thing at 2 this morning Ds is now 4 and still suffers
Tips we have been given before is wet towel on radiator raise the head of his cot or pillow uner matress.
Hospital said to us the cold air works on some children and a dose of nurofen before bed to reduce inflamation.
We have got the steroids at home now but uner strict instuctions to go to hospital if he is really struggling.

i am wondering whether to give him a pillow actually - we opened the bedroom window in our room this am as heard that to about change in atmosphere - it was baltic! ahh i gave calpol this am for any hurty feelings - yes should have given nurofen doh! He has a pan of water under his bed too which i often kick over! 4 - lordy! I blame myself for picking him up from nursery and thinking how marvelous it was he had not picke dup anything this week!!!
