Balanitis - need to go to doc's, or is there a cream I can use?

DS1 has been complaining of a sore willy, and it does now look red and a bit sore. Think it must be balanitis - friend's DS had it when a baby, same sort of thing.

Just wondered if I need to go to doc's, or if there's a cream I could use? Never out of blardy doc's at the moment with poor little DS2, so would like to avoid if poss - although will of course take DS1 if necessary!

Friend said she took her baby to doc's, but can't remember if was given anti-b's or cream or nothing...

We had to go docs when ds1 had this years ago.

My DS1 ended up in absolute agony with this when I didn't treat for 24 hours. We ended up spending ages in hospital with him just doubled up. God I never made that mistake again.

I would go to the Doctors . I think frommemory it needs anti-biotic cream as it is essentially an infection.

Thanks for this - took him to doc's this a.m., he is now on anti-b's. Considering asking doc to move in, will save a lot of time. Also considering purchase of shares in pharmaceutical sector
