ds2 only 5 weeks old.
but nipples colourless. i am sure that ds1 had a tiny bit of brown in his, so that they werre a different colour to the skin right by it.
am i over reacting. being paranoid ?
is it because ds2 has so much red in his hair ?

excuse one handed typing.
am NAK.

i wouldnt worry think it has to do with being pale skinned .you could ask your health visitor next time you see her

pooka · 03/12/2008 11:22

Nothing to worry about IMO. DS is quite dark, and his nipples are slightly more coloured than dd's. She is 5 now and has paler skin and hair.

dontbitemytoes · 03/12/2008 20:51

we couldn't see dd's nipples at all until she was about 3 month (could have been older), but i do remember dh cheering and singing about it when they eventually turned a little bit pinker!!

BroccoliSpears · 03/12/2008 20:53

You would swear my 2 didn't have nipples until they were quite a few months old.

What is NAK? Something At Keyboard? Naked at keyboard?

RedSantaHatOnHerHead · 03/12/2008 20:55

my nipples are colourless - i have red hair - i was actually quite impressed when in the middle of my first pregnancy, they turned a slightly darker shade of pale!

don't worry about it, its normal for people with fair skin.

LeakyDAISYcal · 03/12/2008 20:58

NAK = nursing at keyboard....so semi-naked I suppose brocolli

Obs, meant to reply on the PN thread; none of mine have had colour to their nipples until they were older, and they are all pretty fair of skin.

RedSantaHatOnHerHead · 03/12/2008 21:01

ooo - in that case I am NAK too!
but I have managed to situate baby and keyboard to enable 2-handed typing. Am I cleaver or what!!!??
