Baby ate unidentified wild mushroom

We were at the Victoria arms picnic area in old marston, oxford and my 11 month old son was sitting with his back to us on the grass when I realised he had a wild mushroom in his mouth and not our picnic food!
I don't know how much of it was consumed, probably not a lot but it was a bit disintegrated so hard to know. We took it with us to A&E and still waiting to see a doctor. They took the mushroom but didn't say anything yet about its toxicity.
In the meantime I thought I'd check if this ever happened to anyone and what advice was given.
A friend took a picture of the young mushrooms growing there under a tree, unfortunately not the mature ones.
The pub is sitting on the Cherwell river in oxford and has a grass area for picnics with trees around. It is surrounded by natural woods.
Many thanks!

My son has been discharged and the advice given was to watch for symptoms in the first 6-12 hours, but since he was fine while at the hospital they were not that concerned. In addition, it was said that poisonous mushrooms are less common in populated areas, though I wouldn't call that area exactly populated.

You did the right thing getting him checked. Some mushrooms can be incredibly dangerous.
It sounds like he's going to be fine though but don't hesitate to take him back if he has any symptoms at all.

This happened to me when i was 3 (am now 43). I had my stomach pumped and can still remember it! Anyway, I am obviously still alive if that helps to reassure you :)
