DS has OHS Tuesday morning and is being admitted tomorrow afternoon.

He's 10mo (8mo adj) and he's exclusively on breastmilk. I know I need to take his medications and his portable oxgyen but what else do I need?... besides clothes... do I need my breast pump?

It's a 5 hour drive so I need to set off early but I'm panicking and everything that the hospital told me or suggested I take, I've forgotten Blush

I was lent a pump but didn't get on with it, so sent DH out to buy the same one as we had at home which was an unnecessary expense, so I'd take your own if you can.

Smartphone, charger - keeping in touch was vital, as was having access to MN/fb etc when I couldn't concentrate to read. Also I took quite a few pics of dd, even all tubed etc as it felt important to document it. I do occasionally look back over the photos and seeing her progression has been helpful.

Magazines - treat yourself to something to dip in and out of and day dream with.

iPod if you like music etc

Snacks that ds likes for when he needs tempting with something. When my dd got up to eating she was not looking for egg mornay and cold mash Wink easy food for you eg cup a soup and pot noodle, dry snacks and nice cartons as eating yourself can be tricky.

Baby wipes, dry shampoo, facial wipes, nice moisturiser, mints, body spray, deo etc to freshen up with. I felt permanently a bit sticky and grubby and couldn't leave our room or her for v long so didn't want to get involved in washing my hair too often.

Hope it all goes well Smile

Thank you, so much! That list is perfect. Everything is overwhelming and my mind has just gone blank!

He's not weaned yet so it'll be loads of snacks for me! :)

They've put me up in a Ronald Donald house but said I can stay in a parent room while he's in ICU. But even thinking of being away from him is worrying me as he has SPD...

Thank you. We got there safely and ds is settled and currently sleeping on my chest.

Spoke to his surgeon who will be preforming thr Ross & Mitral surgery and he's eased some of my worries but I am still a nervous jittery mess!
