Can anyone recommend a paediatric urologist in London?

Hi there,

8 yr old DD suffers from recurrent UTIs. She has had a scan at our local hospital where they said everything looked structurally fine. She keeps having the UTIs, however. However,I am not sure how much is behavioral (she holds her wee in and I have to virtually force her to go to the loo) and how much is physical. Of course, they may be both linked! When she needs to go, she needs to go urgently and often has accidents. I'm not convinced she can 'feel' when she needs to go...

We have been referred to the unit at Chelsea & Westminster but we have to wait ages, so we have decided to go privately. Can anyone refer a good paediatric urologist in London? They don't have to be at the C&W - is another hospital better?

Thanks very much!

We have just seen Dr Patrick Duffy at the Portland Hospital - he was excellent. He has bags of experience and he was very reassuring. He operated on my little one who has a kidney condition.

Another vote for the Evelina Childrens Hospital, based at St Thomas Hospital - their urinary team are fab.
