You need to take this baby to A&E now for her to be checked. Hands etc are not suppose to be blue. Go now please.

IS she alert and breathing normally btw? If she isn't call 999 now. Otherwise straight to A&E.

She's laughing giggling and smiling even though she is covered in spots. They go back to normal when she's awake. She's eating loads and doesn't have a temp. I rang hospital and they said they wernt concerned as she is fine in herself I'm just really worried but docs don't seem to care

How old is she? I would still take her to A&E tbh.

Nhs111 at the very least and if any doubt straight to a and e. I'd rather waste their time and look silly than any more unpleasant alternative. Seriously, people turn up in a and e for far far more minor things than a real concern about a sick baby.

What you describe to me implies (as a non medical person) that the oxygen level in her blood is falling whilst she's asleep. It shouldn't do that so it needs checking. It's NOT a normal chicken pox symptom and whilst she is fine now babies do go down hill very quickly with infections. In rare cases children can become seriously unwell with infection as a result of chicken pox.

Op - I am really worried by what you describe too. Please go now to A&E.

I would go to a+e, asking to be put in a room away from other patients, but really think you should go, cold extremeties (I guess cold because they are blue?) can be a sign of infection.

I get this, but not with chicken pox. I'm also 23, so I can much better explain how I feel.

It's almost like a high.

Please take her TO A&E. Low oxygen needs to be treated or you risk some pretty horrific side effects.

Just to update you all. I've been to a&e they done tests. Her oxygen is fine it's because I've been keeping her stripped off. Got my 1 year olds cotton nightie on her with a pair of socks now and she is fine. They said she looks really happy considering how covered she is in cp. They gave me some antihistamine for just incase she gets unsettled with them. Thankyou all

Glad you got checked out, there can be some nasty complications so always worth it.

Hope the spots clear up and she gets better soon.

She is a little cutie, spots and all!

I'm glad to hear there was a simple explanation. Hope the CP clears up soon.
