Hi all so at 6 am I was awoken to the lovely sound and scent of vomit, looks like ds has a tummy bug. Problem is he can't seem to keep anything down? Iv just given him very weak squash and he has thrown the lot straight back up. Can anyone recommend some foods that will be easy on his tummy?

Also any tips on getting him to be sick in the toilet? I'm literally following him around with a cloth it's everywhere.

Poor sausage. Isotonic drinks, tiny sips, regularly. Don't let him take big gulps, just little sips. Don't worry about food, unless he fancies toast or banana etc

Sips of water, little sips only and don't worry about food. My gp always says so long as there keeping some fluids down don't worry about food until they say their hungry. If he does then dry toast is usually a pretty safe be but only little bits at a time. Hope he is better soon

Thanks ladies, he's perked up a bit now and not been sick for three hours so hoping he's on the mend!

we have a plastic bowl that becomes the sick bowl when my two arent well - I line it with some kitchen roll to minimise splashes. Before we got that I once resorted to using a plastic tub as i preferred that to them puking on my carpet!

Mine too today same age too. She's had dry toast and some dry toasted pitta bread with sips of water.

We had a major breakthrough this afternoon though, for the first time ever, waked for and was sick in a bowl. Fairly successful, but didn't have quite enough towels spread around

On the plus side, needed to wash the cushions and throws,
