Come talk to me.

DD (9) recently diagnosed after a trip to A&E with a racing heart and weakness. Not the first time it has happened, but definitely the worst. Seems physical activity can bring it on but the hospital aren't saying anything until she has seen the Paediatrician on the 11th.

Cross country at school this week triggered a small episode so I know it's still happening. Her father suffers from it too, he's waiting for an op to solve it, although they say it's not hereditary!

Just wanted to speak to someone with experience of this affecting their child. I would love to know how they are going to treat it.

My daughter was diagnosed with SVT last July she is 7years old. She was started on Beta blockers in the August after she had had 3 attacks in 4weeks. All 3 needed adezonine to slow the heart down. She was stared on Atenonol but this affected her sleep quite badly so they tried her on Proprananol, this was also affecting her sleep. She is currently on Fleconide and on the waiting list for an Ablation at Leeds.
