Yeast infection in 3yr old won't go away!

my DD has had a nasty yeast infection for months!
Started last November. The doc gave her canestan cream which didn't shift it-actually got worse..then canestan with hydrocortisone. Still not gone. It's really bothering her. She's not sleeping well.
I know from my own experience that the cream never shifts it and the pessaries worked straight away. The doc says these are not suitable for children for the obvious reasons I suppose.
Is there anything like the pessaries that are suitable for children?
The doc won't give her anything else-been a few times. Really want to get this sorted quickly-I hate seeing her so uncomfortable for so long.

Have you tried changing her bubble bath/soap etc incase thats causing irriation?
And if possible don't put pants on her at night so she can get a bit of air to it, that might help the soreness slightly.
I really hate to mention this, but recurrent thrush can be a sign of abuse. I'm not saying anything is happening and there could be lots of other reasons, but just thought I'd mention it just in case you do have any reason to be concerned about that.

Yes we used just water for a while with no bubble bath. Will go back to that i think.
There is no concern re abuse.
She isnt night potty trained so wears a nappy at night. She is 3 next Thursday-quite early to be dry at night.
I was hoping someone might have experience of alternative medications that would be helpful.
