Then has several lots of anitbiotics. struggling to get up for school, loves school and has very healthy diet. Very low in mood with tears and feels not able to do do dance, sports all the active things she likes. GP has states virus although has antibiotic for an infection............would welcome help to make her feel better. As DD this has been going on for too long.

Has she been tested for glandular fever? Can cause excessive tiredness for months after...

tazmo did think about this and have mentioned to gp who suggested healthy diet should do.....we have very healthy diet. At gp again this week so will mention again. Just feel really sorry for dd when she is normally so active and is struggling to do things. we did stop all clubs but she was then fed up due to missing out,

I'd go back and ask for a full blood test. Could be a number of causes.

She needs a blood panel done.
ASAP.
I had glandular fever in my teens and I was very ill.
See a different gp if necessary!

It went round my school and a group of kids were off for ages from school. There is also me but unlikely. Do agree a blood test would rule out certain causes. Is she anaemic?

Will ask for bloods in the am. As for anaemic she eats well but I have to say she looks very pale with large black eyes..............she is just very low and fed up :(

There's clearly something. Hope the bloods come up with a conclusive answer. It may just be a case of resting until she is back to full health. Keep us informed. Ps has she started her menstrual cycles yet?
