4 year old cough and cold. Should she be off swimming?

Hi all, my 4 year old DD has a cough and a cold. It's her swimming lesson today which she loves and is desperate to go to. My inclination would be to keep her at home but I'm wondering it it's an old wives' tale that you shouldn't go swimming if you have a cough/cold. She'd come straight home after so wouldn't get chilly so that wouldn't be an issue. Any advice gratefully received!

Of course she shouldn't go swimming if she is ill. Swimming is hardly going to make her better and she may pass on whatever she has to someone else
