Children's health

does anyone know why Minadex has been discontinued and whether Minavex is a suitable substitute?

ds often complains of tiredness and aches and pains so I thought he might have an iron deficiency so I wanted to give him Minadex. However Boots do not stock it but they did have Minavex. Just wondered if anyone has tried this.

Can't answer your question I'm afraid - I was wondering the same thing too? Can't find Minadex anywhere. DH asked in our local pharmacy for some the other day and they didn't know why it wasn't available any more either.

Apparently they had a problem at Seven Seas with Minadex and had to discontinue it. Minavex is a slightly different formula, but according to my 11 year old, it tasted exactly the same as minadex. I'm glad, because my six year old wasn't keen on the Boots orange tonic!

DD1 will be delighted - she's been waging a one woman moan war against Minadex for years and years as their packaging used to claim "a great taste children will love" and that was apparently Illegal and Not Allowed as it wasn't either a great taste or something she loved Wink. Then they removed the "children will love" part and she decided that she'd won (this is all in her own head you understand). This is a proper victory for her now Grin.
