audio book recommendations for 6 and 8 year old dd

We've just finished listening to Eric Idle read Matilda by Roald Dahl. It was very entertaining, and I would recommend it.

We are currently reading Lionboy by Zizou Corder as a bedtime story (recommended to me on MN!) which I think is available on audio book - my just 7 yo loves it, she is a big Famous Five fan and it is a bit like a modern alternative.

But do be aware that there are 3 books and the story continues through the 3 of them, it is not resolved in book 1!

We have only just started using audio books, so I am unable to recommend any. However I am able to recommend storynory, from which you can download a large selection of stories for free. I have forgotten the web address but if you google storynory I am sure you will find it.
