I loved them. With all my heart. And still have every single one that I'm saving for my children down the line. Are they still available and popular?

OMG I loved Victoria Plum! I still have a few of her books, got them from an antiques fair though. God she was fab wasn't she! Children of today just don't know what Angela Rippon is capable of!

Don't know if you can still get them. Do you mean new? or old ones? I'll bet you can get them on ebay.

I meant new and old ones. I've got the old ones though. I was looking at them at home a few months ago and what was amazing was how some of them were illustrated. Just so beautiful.

One of my earliest memories is of my dad reading those to me while I sat on his lap. And I vaguelly remember spending hours looking at the pictures with him and pointing out all the detail - I practically counted each chestnut on every page [and went through a deeply frustrating (for my parents) phase of trying to build my own stockpile of glossy chestnuts].
