Would be grateful if someone could give me the titles of these in the correct order - didn't realize there were so many of them! TIA

I'm pretty certain (about 90%) that How to Train your Dragon is the first one. Not sure after that though .. .
If you look in the book then you could check which is first as Hiccup goes and finds his dragon at the start.
They are fab books.

The first one is actually a book called The Seasick Viking, which inspired the series (i've not read it unfortunately), Then
How to Train your dragon
How to be a Pirate
How to speak Dragonese
How to cheat a dragons curse
How to twist a dragons tale
How to ride a Dragons Storm

BTW if you're new to these, you must get an audio book.
David Tennant reads them and they are totally fantastic!
We listened to a few driving abroad and we were all enthralled inc dh

You don't need to read the picture book ... I have and it wasn't as good

Thanks all - especially ingles2. An earlier thread recommended reading them in the right order - but didn't specify. I'd picked up 'the Hero's Guide to Deadly Dragons' from the library and although DS and |I are enjoying it, we keep having to turn back to check who's who. Actually just realised the title I've got isn't in ingles2's list - is it the most recent title?

There is also a little one called How to Train your Viking (from the perspective of Toothless the Dragon).

Big fans here

I would second the recommendation for the audio books - they are wonderful and everyone in the family can enjoy them!

The books are fab too - ds reads and re reads them with equal delight.

Thanks for the audio books recommandations. I have reserved the first two from the library.
