Just caught the segment with Michael Rosen. Think he was taking about bookstart scheme but missed details. However I'm sure he said you could get free children's books including Dear Zoo but missed how to. Anyone help?

I got the book start pack from the health visitor at one of the checks they do for the red book. Maybe try asking HV.It's a couple of years since i got mine.

Preshcool children get 3 book packs thanks to Bookstart
-one at 9 months, usually through the Health Visitor
-one at 18 months usually through the library
-one at 3 or 4 years, usually through a preschool setting

In reception year, children get a free book thanks to Booktime.

In year 7, children get a free book thanks to Booked Up.

Those 3 schemes are administered by Booktrust which is a fantastic charity!

Hmm obviously missed out so far. Only see HV when time for injections & we are all up to date for the next 3 years. Definitely no books ever on offer. Will ask at the library next time I'm in. Thanks.

Each pack usually contains 2 books, and differs in each area. We got diff ones to our friend who only lives in the next town. The pack we just recieved at DD's 2yr check had crayons and drawing pad too.
