Hello all, I am an author starting out and was hoping for feedback and exposure of my short stories for children told in rhyme.

I have been working on these for some time and have gotten local feedback meaning I am therefore ready to recieve feedback from alternative sources which can help me refine my work and hopefully improve.

My aim with the childrens stories is to provide a fun, interesting and educational format which entertains and provides life lessons to your children (and my own).

I also currently have an illustrator designing a refined front cover featuring animals from the stories, as well as many more stories like these which will be soon made into volumes to go with my first edition.

I have posted a sample of the first featured story along with the amazon link so you can view the book page and maybe even send a sample to your own device :).

Any form of feedback is appreciated and if any parents here decide to read them to their children, I'd be delighted to know how they responded to it and wether or not they enjoyed it!

Thankyou very much!

Jaden Macleighton

Only looked at this one page. Personally I find the story not very exciting. I prefer Julia Donaldson her style and the way she uses words. Sorry.

However, these things are very personal, especially poems, so hopefully there will be plenty of people who like your book. Good luck.

The rhymes need work - they read like someone desperately fitting a story to a rhyme rather than actually telling a story. And the plot is dull. Sorry.

You are setting yourself up against some tough competition, so you need to get better if you want to stand a chance in this market.
