Stereotyping in children's books

Hi all,

I hope this thread isn't interpreted as 'spammy', I'm looking for some feedback please on my attempt to introduce a series of children's books that break social norms and avoid the stereotyping so commonly found in children's literature.

I launched a Kickstarter campaign last night that is doing better than I could have imagined as it is already 18% funded. I'm hoping that some of you would please take a look at the campaign and give me some feedback. Is this needed? Does the campaign give you all the information you need? Is there anything else I could tell you about the book or myself which would encourage you to pledge?

Obviously pledges would be great, but I'm more interested in this stage at talking to you all and hearing your thought.

The campaign can be found here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/amielockwood/adventures-of-alex

Thanks in advance for your time.

Amie x
