Old fashioned horse/pony stories - best place to sell a large collection of them on?

DD has been sorting through her books and now has a stack of about 50+ to go - Pullein-Thompsons, Monica Edwards, Patricia Leitch, all that kind of thing.

Is there such thing as a pony book geek website where people flock to look for the missing one from their collection? The thought of Ebaying them all individually makes my heart sink!

I don't know about horse-fan websites but honestly, go on amazon and you will see that for most second hand books the sellers are only getting postage costs plus about 1 max out of each sale. This includes hardback books.

Exceptions include books that are out of print. For example, I wanted to buy maisie middleton and its out of print and currently worth about 20 on amazon 2nd hand, so there are exceptions. I would go through your titles on ebay/amazon and see if others are selling them and for what price. Condition doesn't matter as much as the edition/ whether it is out of print.

Good luck.

Thanks Smile

Will grit my teeth and start ebaying for her! Was just hoping there was some website where I could post a photo of the lot and people would ask for for the ones they wanted (like I did with the washable nappies! )

What Monica Edwards have you got, in which editions? I might be interested.

Alternatively you could try contacting Topsy Turvy books as they may be happy to buy the lot off you, or know where you could sell them.

I'm not sure if you ever got round to selling those Monica Edwards etc books but be aware they are very sought-after. I have been looking through websites, to buy the books of my childhood memory and would love to buy a whole collection of them!! Have you sold them yet? Do you still want to?

paulinda There are usually plenty of Monica Edwards going in the armada version on ebay. You can also try topsyturvy books (search online, you'll find them!) and if you want the unabridged versions at (generally) not too bad prices, try Girls Gone By Publishing (GGBP)-topsyturvy usually sell all that come out, or you could try contacting them direct.
