Trying to put together a collection for DSD but I'm not sure where to begin as I was reading ahead of my age at 5/6.

I so far have Gobbolino, Roald Dahl, naughty little sister and naughtiest girl in the school.

Any recommendations?

Enid Blyton's Famous Five series, and her Magic Faraway Tree trilogy.

my list for my girls includes
Worst Witch,
My Naughty Little Sister,
Milly Molly Mandy,
Naughtiest Girl in the School
Gobbolino
The Railway Cat - Phyllis Arkle
Charlotte's Web (not sure how hard it is to be honest, can't remember)
Olga Da Polga - Michael Bond
The Fairy Doll - Rumer Goden (think this is about that age but could be wrong)
Little Grey Rabbit - Alison Uttley? again not sure of level really

also she may enjoy The Lighthouse Keeper books - Ronda and David Armitage, Katie at the art gallery books - James Mayhew and Katie Morag. Although picture books rather than chapter books they are quite decent length stories and some of my favourite children's books so it depends on her reading level if they might still be suitable.

forgot magic faraway tree, also I used to like Enid Blyton's adventure series (castle of adventure, ship of adventure etc - there are about 6 of them)

Perwinkle my DS (5.6) is currently reading Charlotte's Web, so think you're spot on.
Anne Fine's Jamie and Angus stories

Everything and anything by Astrid Lindgren (The Pippi books are my least favourite). The little house books by Laura Ingels Wilder.

We've just read Pippi Longstocking.
Also the Moomins but I'm reading them out loud. They might be a bit rambling for her to read on her own.

How about Ronia the robber's daughter, Mio my Mio, The brothers Lionheart ( very sad book) , the children of noisy village ( one of my favourites). The list goes on.

All by Astrid Lindgren.

Blueskin the Cat is the first in a series of 10 written by me, and is only getting five star reviews on Amazon.

It charts the adventures of a highwayman who is reincarnated as a cat and tried ti get revenge on the bothers who captured him, while sailing to America and fighting off pirates, being shipwreck and finally 'finding himself' far better off a a cat than a criminal.

We have also republished Farmer Fisher and the music is free to d/l from www.footsteps.co this was children's book of the year in 1976 and is great fun.
