I've never heard of this author but she came to give a talk at dd's school and dd wants to try some of her books.

Has anyone read them and which ones would you recommend? What sort of age range are they suitable for? Dd is 11, Year 7.

Yes, DS1 has read all of them and thinks they're great.

Sorry, I mean The Medusa Project ones. I think they need to be read in order, but I can't remember which one comes first.

Just asked DS1, he says to read "The Set-Up" first.

Girl Missing is good and it has a sequel, Sister Missing. My DD2, who is 12, loved Blood Ties and its sequel Blood Ransom.

She writes good books which are not a difficult read. They're not going to impress the teacher necessarily but they will get teenagers reading. She writes across a wide range so watch the age range.
The Girl Missing series in aimed at young teens (thriller/early romance - 11+) and I've had some reluctant teenage girl readers really take to it. The Medusa Project and Blood Ties series are also thrillers aimed at the 11+
The Falling Fast series is for older teenagers - its not that its hard to read but you have 16 year old girls debating how far to take a relationship - all with different results. I think its quite sensibly written and provides a good role model but it has to be a judgement call. //www.booksteensandmagazines.com
