November picture book of the month - Sir Charlie Stinky Socks and the Tale of Two Treasures by Kristina Stephenson

Our November picture book of the month is Kristina Stephenson's Sir Charlie Stinky Socks and the Tale of Two Treasures; a charming new installment in the series which sees Sir Charlie set off in search of treasure guided by a mystical map. More worrying than his visit to the Tomb of Doom, the River of Riddles or the Mine of Much Despair, are the footsteps that seem to shadow his every move on this quest.

If you would like to share this book with your children and join the discussion this month, visit the November picture book of the month page and apply for one of fifty free copies before the end of Friday 2 November.

We have not yet read this book, but it looks fun and we are in a stage of loving to lift flaps and discover what is underneath them so I think this would be a big hit.

DD is seven but is fighting seriously texted 'grown-up' books as she calls normal kids paperbacks. She still appreciates a picture book and she's certainly not slow with her reading! So she would love this!

Great to see you've received the free books. If you were one of the 50 winners, please do let us know if your dcs have any enjoyed the Adventures of Sir Charlie and feedback any comments. Would be great to pass back to the author and publisher.
