Hi, I had this terribly badly. My midwife suggested taking paracetamol to reduce temp. It did help a bit. Also, if you have long hair, tie it up with a scrunchie overnight.

HTH.

Sorry no tips but it took a couple of weeks to pass. Make sure you drink plenty of water, I ended up with a whole bottle by the bed. Congratulation on the baby.

sorry no advice tog ive, I thought it was only me!! Mine went one for quite a long time though. Is it because of hormones??

Sorry, I can't remember how long exactly. I was on 2 or 3 T-shirts a night too. I think after the first couple of weeks it got a bit better, but it was certainly several weeks if not a couple of months before I felt more normal. I still get hotter at night than I used to, and ds is nearly 16 months . I hope yours improves sooner.

Lollypop, I hope you don't still need a lot of water to drink overnight ... it can be a symptom of diabetes. My dh has diabetes and severe thirst at night was the symptom which first prompted him to go to the doctor.

for me it lasted at least 2-3 months, then got better but I still get them sometimes, (maybe to do with my period:..?)

Yup, I think it must be hormones. Bad news is, I still get them when DS cries in the night (and he's 14 months). It's usually cooler to get up and settle him down than try to wait it out, but he must think mummy sleeps in a bath

I did it for 6 weeks. Thought since I was an older mum I had started to go into menopause from the shock of giving birth! Happily, it did go away and I'm not menopausal...yet.
