oh, and further to that last thread, any of you whose waters had to be broken first time, did they go naturally second time around?

ruptured at transition second time and made for very easy pushing stage.

My last three babies, my waters didn't break until the baby was coming out in a big splashy, watery explosion! It happened 3 times so think it couldn't be a coincidence and that I just had that tendancy.
I think it made my labours easier to bear but made the last bit very fast, shocking and intense.

broken for me first time as part of being induced

broke spontaneously second time, after being in established labour for an hour, was 6 - 7 cm....baby arrived 2 hours after

had waters broke with first whilst being induced.

Heard a massive pop and splosh the second time and baby in my arms 15 minutes later

Didn't even notice my waters breaking first time (honest!) and second time they had to be broken at 8cm.

1st time was induced so were broken for me .. big whoosh
2nd time waters broke in my sleep but was a continuous trickle not a gush IYKWIM (i woke up and thought i'd wet the bed

yep. spectacularly! went into labour 5 hrs later. 2nd births are the best!
