Well and truly "over" being pregnant with #2 now, any hints on how to enjoy the days? I feel like a giantess and my stretch marks are reaching ridiculous proportions and are all itchy. Getting a bit fed up

I've been in your position and it's not much fun. All I can say is, it can't last much longer so at least you know for sure that the end is in sight now.

It's difficult to find stuff to do to pass the time, as you can't go far from home at your stage, and especially if you have another child you will be feeling too tired to do much anyway. However, I found the following quite good day-fillers:

going for a long walk with toddler in pushchair every day - this gave me a bit of exercise and kept me sane

reading a good book to keep my mind occupied

planning meals for afterwards - you may have done this already, but I had some mega-cookathons making stuff for the freezer

Good luck!

Well I've got a week to EDD and I plan to rest and sleep as much as possible, potter about and try to feel organised and if I get some energy I would like to paint the scribbled on walls, oh and lots of mumsnetting
Last 3 babies I was 5 days over and I know it's a drag being patient when overdue!

I am now 9 days over and look like being the last person left on the due in Feb thread

I have totally run out of patience now and truly believe the baby is never coming

Maybe tonight will be the night MrsJohn, apparently labour wards are busy around full moon and it's fullmoon tonight!!! Failing that why not come and moan with us on the March thread!

Hope for me too - Mrs JC isn't the last one on the feb thread yet! I'm still here too! I'm enjoying meals out - too tired to cook and last chance for ages with a newborn. have fallen asleep several times over a good book rosy lily so I'm not sure that does it for me. Have been enjoying our super sunshine in the garden and park - again last chance for a while to weed and plant things. Worst time is late evening when I feel bored and start thinking I wonder if tonight'll be the night.....

Sleep, sleep and sleep. Lounge around, do as little as possible and enjoy it while it lasts lol

I'm 40 + 2 and SO uncomfortable now. He's so low he's almost falling out. DS1 who's 17months is keeping my mind off it in the day time, mostly by winding me up - he can tell I have less patience than normal! I actually prefer it this time, as I have less time to dwell on the whole thing, even if I get less rest.
