A diary?
Remember shoes to go home in, I forgot those before!!!
Blanket for baby, I don't like the hospital ones
Magazines like 'hello' which have good pictures 'cos you'll be too tired to actually read anythin!!

Perhaps something to clean the hospital bath/shower with, they're not the cleanest of places

What about senna? Stops the dreaded post birth poo being such a fearful event!

Report
Nemoinapeartree · 18/12/2006 22:18

have never had the post birth poo thing but then never had stitches so hoping after having a 9lb1 and 6lb14 that shouldnt need to worry..

Senna can cross in your bmilk and make your baby ill. The hospital will have lactulose etc if needed!

I always say it: emergency money. You never know if you will need money for parking, or food for dh while he's with you.

What about nappies? Most hospitals make you bring your own.

something to tie your hair back during labour. I obviously don't know of your follical needs, but it drove me INSANE to have my hair (newly layered) flopping onto my sweaty brow!

Lipbalm-I know that sounds a bit princessy, but my lips got really chapped during labour-becuase I was dehydrated probably, but any relief from anything irritating is a help I think...
