I am a senior midwife who is looking at the subject of Post Partum Haemorrhage (PPH) As a group we are looking at risk factors and care pathways, but the area I am interested in is from the parent's perspective. Sometimes a PPH is unavoidable, but the information given to the parents may leave a lot to be desired. I would like to know how things could have been done better for women and their partners in this situation, and would be greatful to hear from any parent who has suffered a PPH, what effect it has had on them, how things could have been improved on, or indeed anything that helped. I would be happy if you could either email me or write to me, as work committments prevent me from accessing your comments here. My email address is [email protected] and my address is c/o Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Sherborne Building, Aldermaston Road, Basingstoke Hampshire, RG24 9NA
I look forward to hearing from you.
Gill (smile)
