Thrush at 37 weeks?

Just a quick Q... I was told on Friday I had thrush and was issued with a pessary and cream. I didnt have any external symptoms at all prior to being told I had thrush. I did a quick google the other day and saw something about strep B and needing antibiotics whilst labouring or something?

Is this right?

Strep b is completely different to thrush. I have both, but there's no reason why if you have strep b you will have thrush, and if they didn't mention strep b it's unlikely you have it-if you did they would put a big yellow sticker on your notes so all healthcare ppl know you need antibiotics.

Interested in responses though because my mw said thrush can be risky during birth too, and I never got to ask her why and what further treatment might be needed if necessary. She just told me it's important to keep an eye on it so it clears up, but it's just come back so I'm off to go to get another pessary tomorrow.

Why did they test you for thrush if you didn't have any symptoms. Sorry, I know this isn't a very helpful question, but I wondered.
