20 hours to go till my induction...

I'm being induced tomorrow morning at 38 weeks due to having hypertension. This is my first baby and while I'm really excited, I'm starting to feel quite anxious.

I am well aware that the more worried I feel the worse it is for my blood pressure, as well as all the 'happy hormones' that I need to help with labour.

I was hoping to avoid an epidural, forceps, intervention etc but I understand this is more likely with induced labours and I'm trying to stay open minded.

Has anyone got any top tips or positive induction stories they can share?

Thank you in advance.

I was overdue and induced. I had a fantastic experience. Waters broken around 11, drip started around 12, baby born at 10.03pm.

I tried to stay open minded re: drugs. I managed on g&a and diamorphine.

It truly was a great experience.

Good luck with the induction. You will have your baby soon

Good luck. I was induced 2 weeks ago and it went fantasticly. Went into labour quickly. Perfect birth with no intervention. Waters broke at 11am, baby at 18:42pm. Small tear no stitches which I barely felt. Now I'm on the sofa having newborn cuddles. Thanks

I hope it's going ok. Inductions aren't all bad. When I had mine it worked the first night and my little man was born the next morning with no intervention.
