Hi all,

I've just written my second ever blog post telling the story of our daughter's delivery, the run up to it and her transfer to SCBU.

I hope you all enjoy it. Feedback more than welcome :-)

Hi, I've just read it and I have to say I enjoyed it despite not usually enjoying dads blogs on childbirth as they are usually a bit cheesy and corny but I really got into it. It can't have been at all pleasant seeing your wife in so much pain then having your new born whisked away but you sounded like you handled it brilliantly and were very supportive, well done and congratulations to you both.

Hi have just read your post and wanted to say how much I really enjoyed it and have forwarded it on to DH. I remember him saying how horrible one of those IV into the hand thing looks ( he was offered a cup of tea to bring his blood sugar up he went pale and wobbled when he saw me have it put in). Hope your wife is well and knows just what an amazing thing she did and yes the pain is like no other and by having some pain relief it lowered her BP then that is a really good thing and I have had pre-eclampsia as well as needing an epidural 2nd time round.

So glad that baby Emily is all well and congratulations to you both and really felt how much support you gave her come through on your blog x x x
