Just that really! Had an EMCS with DS end of march and just got a BFP that puts me 4+2.

Would VBAC be a total no no given the short space of time between? Would an ELCS be safer?

My friend had 12 months (almost to the day) between her 2 children and had a VBAC, all she was told is that they wouldn't be prepared to induce her, so if she didn't go into spontaneous labour she would need another CS.

Hi there, just a bit of reassurance as im currently 8 months pg with dc2 and my little one is 10.5 months. I had an emcs with my dd, I had an induction which failed to progress past 3cm as she was a huge baby!
At 12 weeks pg I had a meeting with the VBAC consultant and he said I would be fine to try for a VBAC (12 months on) but they wouldnt induce me again for fear of scar rupture. It will depend on how large this baby will be too on whether i decide elcs or vbac.
Im under the impression that as long as you had a straight forward c section first time round, a good recovery (no infection/reopenings) and a straight forward pg this time round you should be fine to have a vbac as long as you go into spontaneous labour! Smile
All the best of luck and congrats! Youre going to find this pg hard with having such a young baby but just think of the reward in the end! Grin

Thanks cherry! Although an EMCS I had no complications. It's still early days but just want to know my options. I'm leaning towards ELCS as at least it can be somewhat planned wrt DH taking time off and then would probably get my mum to come and stay for a week or so after that.

My pregnancy with DS was low risk and I didn't really have any sickness etc

Grin Eek!

I am having them 14 months apart.
I was told that if i go in to labour there is a small chance of my old stitches tearing inside in my uterus or stretching too much so going for a c section again
