Childbirth

Vaginal prolapse 6 mos after giving birth. Need operation. Can anyone recommend a good London based Gynaecologist?

I suffered a large anterior and posterior vaginal wall prolapse after the birth of my first child six months ago. I have seen a specialist under the NHS who has recommended I have urodynamics to make sure my bladder hasn't been affected as well, and has recommended I have surgery to correct the prolapse which is quite severe. I am absolutely gutted.

After waiting several months for an initial appointment (my records were lost), I have now been told there could be as much as a six month wait for surgery, so I have decided to look into seeing someone privately.

Can anyone recommend a good London based gynaecologist who works in this area? I don't know who to go to...

Any advice hugely appreciated!

Mr. A Ogunremi out of Harley Street might be worth a try - fantastic reputation with pelvic floor repair etc out of Princess Royal University Hospital where he does NHS work.

He is the one the midwives say they would want themselves if they needed any work doing.

Good luck x

I can recommend Ms Mellon. She has rooms at the London clinic and also at Portland hospital. I had elective section with my two DCs and she's my obgyn. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Good luck with ur procedure.
