loose bowels.. sign of labour?

I'm only 37+1, but the past 48-36 hours I have had some serious loose bowels, on the verge of diarrhoea I'd say. Its been quite uncommon as I've usually had an issue with constipation this pregnancy... Am not ill, and haven't eaten anything dodgy.

Have any others found this to be a sign of imminent labour? Only other signs I've had have been mild period pains for the past week. But no "show" or waters yet..

I had diarrhoea about a day or 2 before I went in. I was 37 weeks as well so thought the cramping was indigestion or something. I did, however, get a show about a week before but have heard you don't always get this. Good luck :)

Could be I had D&V in labour, but there is a D&V bug going round.

TMI from me but here goes...my bowels have been quite loose the past few days and I've developed horrendous piles, currently trying to ease the pain in a bath...feeling sorry for myself Sad currently 40+1 with my first and slightly concerned this will make labour slightly sorer...Shock
