nystan! My 3week old baby is currently taking dis for her thursh!

My newborn is currently taking this for her thrush in her mouth? Am bit worried!! Anyone else baby had to have this?

Yes it's safe. You might need treatment for thrush in your breasts too. Fluconazole which is safe in breast feeding..breastfeedi.g network has good leaflet that you can download for more info.

Surely it was prescribed by your GP? So why the panic? Your baby has thrush and this is a treatment for thrush.

DS had this when very little too - be prepared for it to take more than one bottle of nystan to shift the thrush and make sure you are treated too even if you show no symptoms. It can be difficult to shift it if you are bf. No need to worry at all, it's very common.
