I was wondering if anyone has found a rear facing stage 1 car seat that would fit a yaris?
or maybe someone has done the research and found there isn't one that would still let you use the front passenger seat?

hi, thisisyesterday yes, we're planning to go to MK, hopefully next weekend. DS is 10.5kg now and I think his MaxiCosi Cabriofit is suitable up to 11kg. I'm hoping the two way elite will fit, I think it's the smallest one. Do you happen to have the leaflet? would you be able to check if it lists yaris, please?

are you happy with this seat? Can I ask what car you use it in and how old is your DC?

hi duende, have just checked and yes it lists the yaris in there

we're very happy with it yes. we have one of these and also a besafe izi combi which is good too but takes up more space
we've got a volvo v70, so quite a lot of room lol
the 2 way elite is great though because it's fairly lightweight, it's really, really easy to fit and you could easily swap it between cars if you needed to.
at the moment we have our 2.5yr old in the besafe and our 11month old in the britax as the britax has more of a recline, but the 2.5 yr old has travelled happily in the britax too!

Duende - Cabriofix goes to 13kg. We couldn't get a rearfacing to fit mine with a useable front seat and with DC2 on the way we need to fit all 4 of us in the car and DH is 6ft 4. He couldn't even get his legs in the car! We had to resort to an impact cushion one or we would never go any where as a family. We also had to think of getting the cabriofix in too.

we've got one!! we went to in car safety centre in MK. they really are as helpful as people say, brilliant! we tried the be safe, hi- way and two way elite. the be safe was simply too big, on the hi-way the support leg was too short and didn't reach the floor. The two way elite fits and fits well - leaves enough room in the front for us to be able to use the passenger's seat and DS seems really comfy in it. I am soooo pleased.
thank you ladies and thank you mumsnet for making me aware of rear facing stage 1
