Is anyone using the new Joie i-anchor seat with the anchor fix base?

I have just bought this seat for my 11 month old and followed all the instructions for installation, but it seems a little wobbly. The base is attached with isofix and the seatbelt, so is very secure, but the actual seat moves from side to side very easily. Just wondering if anyone else has found this to be the case?

His old seat was the maxi cosi cabrio fix and felt very solid and secure in comparison.

The i-anchor is a new seat but if there is a lot of movement side to side then i would probably say its not suitable for your car, but you might just need to push the base back more into the seat so it clicks further into place that might help to tighten it, hope that helps :)

We've just bought the Joie i-Anchor base and combination car seat and have just discovered the same issue. The seat is certainly well secured to the car, but there is a massive lateral wobble in the seat. We didn't notice this at Kiddicare when the car seat expert fitted the example seat to our car yesterday. I'm not happy with my baby wobbling from side to side. I can't imagine that it would do any good in a bumpy road. Suffice to say we are wasting another day driving the 1 hour to Kiddicare to get a refund.

The i-Anchor term is not a different type of fitting - it's ISOFIX just like all the others - it's just a marketing term that Joie brand uses - I think Joie is the Kiddicare own brand.

Actually not sure about the own brand thing.

Our cars are VW Passat and Golf, both under 3 years old.

Went back to Kiddicare with our wobbly seat. Car seat expert there told us that this particular seat always wobbles and that it is the way it is designed, which confirms my thinking. They happily took it back and we chose another seat. Can't fault customer service.

I'm very confused and need some help if possible.
I've bought this seat for my son. Who is in the toddler stage for this seat, I keep reading about this "wedge" but I don't seem to have one.
We have removed all the added padding etc and he fits it well. I just need to know what's safe and not safe for him to be in with. I will add a picture of this insert I'm not sure of and ask if it's needed in this stage.
Thanks.
