I have the above car seat. I have removed the newborn wedge and and cushion under bum. I've moved the shoulder straps up. But the thing that DS hates is the padding / cushion around his head and neck. It's all too close and restrictive and hot. But when I takes this out its attached to a cushion at the back which covers fastenings, and also attached to shoulder straps with useful magnet. Has anyone found a solution to be able to take out head support with losing or chopping up the shoulder straps and back cushion.

I kinda wish I'd bought a maxi cosi as they are a bit more open and don't seem as hot and restrictive.

What is your DC wearing in the car? Ideally no coat or bulky layers.

Have you posted on Besafes facebook? Rang them?

Maybe borrow someones infant carrier and see if its actually just car seats your little one dislikes and not the padding IYKWIM?

Hi, he's fine in maxi cosi and its only the bit around his head / neck that bothers him. I've taken it out for now and he's much happier, but its left an uncovered, not padded section at the back. Yes good idea to post to their fb page. If the head hugger pillow bit wasn't attached to back cushion and straps it would be fine but they are all sewn together IFYSWIM
