We are looking for somewhere to camp in May, preferably in Devon and have found this one on the internet. Just wondering if anyone had been, or if anyone could recommend a site.

Hi, Ive just been looking, we stayed at Big Meadow Caravan site 3 years ago. Think they have just changed their name to Watermouth Park. We loved it. A lot of sites down that neck of the woods charge at least double. There is a nice little playpark and a pub. Over the road is Watermouth Castle, its a themed park aimed at younger children. The guy who owned the site used to do tractor and trailer rides every night for the children. Its around the same prices as Little Meadow and the same area. Wondering if they own both parks. You could also look at reviews at www.ukcampsite.co.uk. I've waffled a bit, but hope it helps.

Hidden Valley, a few miles from Ilfracombe is good, it's fairly quiet, although there are lots of places for the kids to ride their bikes, and woodland walks, etc.

The only downside is the traffic noise, as the site is at West Down, just off the main road to Barnstaple.

There's a small, fairly child-friendly restaurant on site, with a playroom for under-5s.
